Originally opened in 2001, the course operated as "East Mill Nine Golf Course". The Jost Family purchased the course in the fall of 2009 and renamed it Hardwood Hills Golf Course. The name was chosen to describe the topography of the area.
As it was closed and not maintained for a year, extensive work was required to revive the course. With the able assistance of green’s designer Nick Larson (Golfscapes) and local business, Exterior Design, the course opened in 2010 with redesigned greens, teeboxes, and improved fairways.
With newly seeded Pentcross Bentgrass greens that are nearly twice as large as the originals you will experience a more satisfying round. Holes 6 and 9 were redesigned to create a challenging yet breathtaking golf experience. Bunkers were added on Holes 1 and 2. The Tee boxes were enlarged and leveled.
Trees were planted and large portions of the fairway were improved. The clubhouse was renovated in the winter of 2009. A small restaurant and pro shop opened in the spring of 2010. Although much was accomplished in the past couple years, we consider Hardwood Hills a work in progress and are dedicated to its continued improvements..
