Balcarrick Golf Club sprawls across gently rising slopes and mounds that rise to 30 feet above sea level. While it is surrounded by Dublin's beauty, the course lacks the city's hustle and bustle. Instead it has a secluded atmosphere that feels much farther than it is. The golf course is actually located less than 20 miles north of Dublin. It is a unique par-73 layout that requires quite a bit of skill. There are several water hazards coming into play as well as numerous strategically placed bunkers. While there are many challenging holes, including the 12th, 14th, and 17th, the trickiest is the par-5 eighth. This hole is known for its formidable features as well as its stunning beauty. It is a dogleg right hole that offers unrivaled views of the Bay of Malahide.
