Powfoot Golf Club was established in 1903 and has been welcoming members and playing guests ever since. The golf club is set in the breath-taking scenery of Dumfriesshire in South West Scotland. The course itself is a mix of links and parkland style, taking advantage of the gorse bushes and natural terrain to create a landscape to challenge many across the British Isles. The exposed nature of the coastline course means many holes are open to the elements when the wind begins to blow. No hole at Powfoot Golf Club is affected more than the par 4 third, becoming a three shot hole for most players once the wind starts to blow.
