The Lee Westwood Filly Course is situated within the grounds of Close House. This is one of two courses at Close House with the Colt Course playing host to the 2017 British Masters, won by Paul Dunne. The Lee Westwood Filly Course is based at the bottom of the Close House grounds with an opening par four that doglegs to the right and plays considerably downhill. The first tee shot is a demanding beginning to your round however should you find the fairway you will be rewarded with a short iron into the green. The course is a championship parkland style layout with many strategically placed fairway bunkers. The course measures at 6,034 yards and is a par 70, the greens are USGA Specification and are large undulating putting surfaces. The course is thoroughly enjoyable and provides a great variety with many holes playing differently to the previous hole. The last hole is an uphill par 4 that requires a well-placed tee shot to avoid the bunker on the left. The second shot plays considerably uphill over a small river, it will require an extra club than you may initially think.
