Located in the picturesque city of Edzell (midway between Dundee and Aberdeen) lies Edzell Golf Club, a golfing venue rich in history. With the mountains of Angus Glens as your backdrop, Edzell Golf Club is easily one of the finest parkland courses in the country. The clubhouse offers a good selection of food and drink and can cater for breakfast, lunches, carveries and dinners. Relax and unwind after your round and take in the beautiful scenery that surrounds you.
The nine hole West Water course was designed by Graeme Webster and opened in 2001.
The West Water Course, named after the river, is extremely inviting and perfect for a pre-round warm-up, or just a little evening fun.
The par 32 layout is predominantly flat parkland and all fairways are tree-lined. The seventh and eighth holes border the West Water and are particularly scenic. Although originally heathland in nature, a major tree-planting programme started in the 1960s has brought a parkland air to the picturesque and peaceful setting.
