Opened in 1971 and set amongst the Woldingham countryside, North Downs Golf Club is, ironically, one of the highest courses in Southern England at 850 feet. You can take in the stunning picturesque views from the large bar which has a full range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks as well as a spike bar so you can take in a drink straight from the course. Food and snacks are available in both bars and there is a practice putting green in front of the Clubhouse for you to use as well as a driving range.
With tree lined and sloping fairways, North Downs Golf Course presents a good challenge for golfers despite its relatively short length. Your drives will need to be accurate to avoid chipping out from the trees and the well placed bunkers and water hazards will keep you on your toes throughout the course. You will need to take advantage of the shorter and drivable par 4s and 5s as the par 3s will present your biggest test. The signature 174 yard par 3 9th is the nicest looking hole on the course, but has been named 'Hit and Hope' due to the various troubles down the left and right.
