Cowglen Golf Club was established in 1906, but has seen a number of improvements over the years including a course re-design by the infamous James Braid. Recognized for its well-maintained greens, the Cowglen course is a treat to play providing breath-taking views of the Scottish Highlands. Aside from the excellent golf course, Cowglen Golf Club introduced an “Academy” in 2014 supporting the development of junior golf and making practice facilities accessible to all visitors and members alike.
The parkland golf course at Cowglen Golf Club is both a good test of golf and an enjoyable round. There are a testing set of challenges around the course, including elevated tees that exaggerate distances and strategic rivers set to damage your scorecard. Despite these difficulties there are some fantastic views of the Scottish Highlands and Glasgow from the golf course which make Cowglen Golf Club one of the most visually pleasing in Scotland.
