Rothbury Golf Club is a charming course within walking distance from the village of Rothbury, a traditional market town in Northumberland. Accredited by HSBC Golf Roots centre; the club was named as the Golf Roots Centre of the Year (North East region) 2013/14 due to their work in encouraging young children to play golf. The clubhouse restaurant is opened to members and the public. They have the ability to host various functions such as weddings and parties.
Rothbury is a 71 par course with a total yardage of 6160. Being beside the Northumberland National Park, the course provides picturesque views of the Coquet Valley and the distant Cheviot Hills. Once a 9 hole course, it has been expanded into an 18 hole course, with holes 9 to 18 being the original. This course provides a challenge for long drive golfers due to the narrow gaps, downhill slopes and ponds.
