Situated in the heart of Essex, Forrester Golf Club was established in 1975 and was initially set-up around the Muir’s family home. The club has developed a lot since then and now boasts a huge 10-acre practice ground and a fantastic putting green. The clubhouse is a converted barn and has retained much of its original character with high ceilings and traditional beamed bar, along with French doors that lead out onto the terrace and gardens.
Set in the beautiful Essex countryside, parts of the course overlook the River Blackwater, making for some lovely scenery all year round. The course is renowned in the area for being maintained to the highest of standards as well as being home to some extremely pacey greens. A good mix of pars can be found throughout the course with the toughest par 3 being the 5th which is a downhill to green protected by two deep bunkers.
