Bangor Golf Club is a mature parkland course based in Bangor Co. Down. The course measures 6410 yards from the white tees. Bangor is a tree lined parkland course with undulating fairways and is renowned for having the best greens within the local area. The 460-yard par 4 5th hole is the hardest hole on the course as well as being the feature hole. It requires an accurate tee shot towards the top of the hill, longer hitters will be able to go for the green in two. However, for most it will require a layup for your second shot, with out of bounds lining the right-hand side of the hole. The 8th, 9th, 12th and 18th greens feature two tiers, meaning pin placement can massively dictate how the hole plays. Bangor is home to stunning views of the Belfast Lough, the Antrim Hills, the Irish Sea and the coast of Scotland from the top of the 4th hill and the view from the clubhouse, after a successful round cannot be beaten. Be sure to make use of the hospitality available in the clubhouse after your round.
