Golf Courses in Spring, TX

A sprawling suburb just north of Houston, Spring has hundreds of restaurants, bars and quaint shopping, especially in Old Town Spring, which features one of the better barbecue joints in Texas as well as its annual Crawfish Festival. Corkscrew Barbecue is a perfect way to cap off a round of golf at any of Spring's excellent public facilities. Cypresswood Golf Club, for example, offers tee times to the public at its two 18-hole courses, the Cypress and Traditions, the latter a championship Keith Foster design that has played host to PGA Tour Qualifying tournaments. Windrose, another 18-hole layout, is a nice option as well. Augusta Pines Golf Club is a semi-private course that pays homage to Augusta and Pinehurst. It was also of a PGA Tour Champions event. And finally, Glennloch Farms, a 27-hole Jay Riviere design, is also open to the public. Private clubs in and close to Spring include Willow Creek Golf Club and Northgate Country Club.
