Golf Courses in Conroe, TX

The county seat of Montgomery County, Conroe, which is just north of The Woodlands and Houston, has something for everyone. There are historic buildings, museums, local theater, live music, Texas Flag Park and plenty of regional food, including lots of barbecues, catfish and crawfish eateries. There's also fabulous 22,000-acre Lake Conroe, where you can take a sunset cruise or do a little boating and fishing on your own. Around the lake are several golf courses, including the wonderful private Walden on Lake Conroe or The Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort, which offers tee times to the public. Other Conroe golf courses open to the public include River Plantation and 27-hole Panorama Country Club. And if you can, play Conroe Country Club, a near century-old John Bredemus design that's one of the best nine-hole golf courses in the South.
