Golf Courses in Weatherford, TX

Known as the Cutting Horse Capital of the World, Weatherford is home to dozens of professional trainers, hall-of-fame horses and is in close proximity to Silverado, where several National Cutting Horse Association affiliates hold local competitions. It also has gardens, the Texas Opry Theater, a vintage car museum and event center as well as The National Vietnam War Museum. The city of 30,000, located just south of Fort Worth, can also boast a great public golf scene too. Canyon West Golf Club, a linksy par-72 course that plays a little more than 6,600 yards, is a great choice to get tee times. The same could be said of Oeste Ranch, a 7,242-yard design by Steve Mrak that opened in 2002. Both are located in Weatherford proper, while courses like Squaw Creek in Willow Park, Split Rail Links in Aledo and Sugar Tree GC in Lipan are close by.
