Rockwall is located in Rockwall County, which is actually the smallest county of Texas, but don't let size fool you; there's plenty to do here. The city of Rockwall, which has a little more than 45,000 residents, boasts a vibrant downtown with high-end restaurants, boutique shops, salons, spas, a winery and local craft brewery. There's also Lake Ray Hubbard to enjoy, and there's plenty of golf both locally and in the area. In fact, you;ll find plenty of lake views from Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club, a 7,281-yard par-72 course that offers plenty of tee times to the public. Another wonderful public course is Buffalo Creek Golf Club, a par-71 design that draws from the entire Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Woodbridge Golf Club in nearby Wylie and Stone River on Royce are also good choices open to the public.
