Golf Courses in Granbury, TX

Located about 35 miles west of Fort Worth, Granbury has something for everyone, including golfers. Grandbury's virues include restaurants, live entertainment and even a park with a lake and a beach in this town of just under 12,000 people. The scene includes a winery, distillery and brewery or two as well. And there are lots of tee times available for golfers, both at private and public facilities in and near Granbury. In Granbury proper you'll find scenic Harbor Lakes Golf Club, a Dick Phelps design that plays over 7,200 yards from the tips. And just south of Granbury in Glen Rose is one of the better 36-hole public facilities in the state, Squaw Valley Golf Course, which has two terrific Colligan Golf Design courses. Private facilities in the area are also stellar, including DeCordova Bend and Pecan Plantation country clubs, the latter of which also offers resort play. And if you're lucky enough to get on, check out Star Hollow Golf Club in Tolar. A private hangout of Marvin Leonard of Colonial fame, Star Hollow is considered the best nine-hole course in Texas.
