In Green Valley, Arizona, Canoa Ranch Golf Club draws players from all over the southern part of the state thanks to its intriguing championship layout, impressive scenic vistas, and excellent value. Located off of I-19 about 30 minutes south of Tucson International Airport, the golf course is a Lee Schmidt-Brian Curley creation from 2003. It rambles amidst a residential development and features an onsite resort. When you have a tee time to play Canoa Ranch Golf Club you will revel in gorgeous views of the Santa Rita Mountains, Elephant Head Rock and the vast Green Valley. The desert layout delves into a canyon landscape with plenty of elevation changes. Canoa Ranch Golf Club is user-friendly as long as you play from the proper set of tees. The par-71 layout features five sets of tee markers that provide differentiated challenges between 4,440 yards and 6,701 yards. Schmidt and Curley's varied playing field heightens the fun quotient with six par 3s, seven par 4s and five par 5s. While the elevated tee boxes showcase mountain views, many players find that driver is often best left in the bag at Canoa Ranch Golf Club. The fairways are narrow and the desert looms as an imminent threat. A couple of holes feature split fairways. Water enters the fray on just one hole the par-5 18th, rated the hardest test of the round. Another defense of the course is its large, elevated greens. Practice facilities at Canoa Ranch Golf Club include a driving range, chipping area, sand bunker, and putting green. The clubhouse is home to a pro shop and a grill restaurant and bar with separate lunch and dinner menus. Seating is available inside or out on the patio.
