Surrey Downs by ORIDA. The Club has a strong membership and the course is well maintained throughout the year. It is particularly attractive in the Summer months, when the rough adds further challenge and beautiful definition to an already pretty layout. A Downland course, with stunning views, wonderful skies and a feeling of calm and openness. Despite its relatively modest length (6265 off the whites), the design and variety of holes on offer will keep you coming back for more. There are four par 3s, two of which are over 200 yards. If you score well on these, you may be on for a good round. Conversely there are five pars 4s under 350 yards. On a good day these may represent the scoring opportunities, but they still need to be treated with caution, especially if the wind is blowing. However you play, you will always receive a warm welcome from everyone at Surrey Downs and that includes members as well as staff. It’s a friendly and inclusive Club, that respects the traditions of the game without enforcing some of its more outdated ones.
