The golf club was founded in 1929 when local golfers urged the council to purchase the land. The golf club was seen as the perfect place for local residents to meet and develop community spirit and that friendly atmosphere is still very evident today. Finchley Golf Club is a delightful parkland golf course that is very easy on the eye. It has a yardage of 6,356 and a par of 72 and will offer all golfers a competitive test. Designed by 5 times Open-winner James Braid in the late 1920s, the golf course embraces the oasis of open countryside and the elegant clubhouse provides a perfect backdrop to the closing hole.
